How many businesses lose precious information every day during a simple blackout or computer freeze? How amazing would it be to work from home at any given day or time with access to company files? These topics and more are the subject of the fourth Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce 2011 Business Empowerment Networking Series (BENS) “Mission Possible: Cracking the Code: Business Technology”, presented by Comcast Business Class. This event, designed especially for small to medium businesses, will present strategies on integrating new tools in technology to streamline operations. Topics will include explore maximizing communications and collaborations through cloud technology, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and unified communications, all of which are key solutions to accelerating a company's competitiveness in our always-on modern economy. The world has changed and this BENS event targets professionals interested in enabling access to data and operations from anywhere in the world, without boundaries.
The luncheon will feature keynote speaker: Jaret Davis, Co-Managing Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig PA; Kevin Michael, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Invizio; Mico Yuk, Director of Sales and Business Development at Benchmarkers Business Intelligence and founder of EverythingXcelsius.com; Oscar Musibay, South Florida Business Journal Reporter and Marlon Hill, CEO & Founding Partner at delancyhill P.A who was featured in the June 2011 issue of Black Enterprise Magazine, highlighting their transition to Cloud Technology, saving the firm 55% in operating costs this year alone.

On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at its annual celebration for Black History Month, host delancyhill P.A., in collaboration with the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, and the law firm of SquiresBenson will host a reception in honor of attorney Cheryl Little for her unwavering advocacy on behalf of Haitian refugees and other immigrants from the African Diaspora. The reception will host clients, firm partners, and community leaders from 6:30-8:30PM at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156.
This commemorative 6th year celebration of Black History Month inspired the law firm of delancyhill, P.A. to create the award of Firm Partner Star, previously offered to Ruth Shack, Dorothy Jenkins-Fields, David Wilson, Babacar M’Bow. and Commissioner Betty T. Ferguson for their ''contributions in uplifting African-American communities of the South Florida''.
This year, Honoree, Cheryl Little, has been a tireless advocate for immigrant rights for nearly two decades and has established herself as one of this country's leading experts in the immigration field. Cheryl's extensive involvement in immigration dates from 1985 when, upon her graduation from law school with honors, she began working at the Haitian Refugee Center. Since 1996, she has served as the Executive Director of Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, Inc. (FIAC), an agency she co-founded. After years of unwavering advocacy, Ms. Little led efforts to secure Temporary Protected Status ("TPS") for Haitian nationals after a series of natural disasters culminating with the tragic earthquake.
In light of the tragic catastrophe in Haiti, the Reception will also raise funds in support of local organizations serving the needs of the impacted Haitian community. Suggested minimum contribution will be $25.00.
